We are excited to announce our very own photography competition, "Enniscorthy: Through Your Lens"!

This is an opportunity to showcase your photography skills and highlight the beauty of Enniscorthy.

What you need to know!

Competition Opens: August 1st
Submission Deadline: October 1st
Winners Announced: October 14th
Open to People Aged 18 and Over

There are 3 categories under which you can submit your photographs.

Wildlife in the City: Capture the urban wildlife of Enniscorthy.
Charming Neighbourhoods: Highlight the charm and character of Enniscorthy’s neighborhoods.
Green at Heart: Showcase Enniscorthy’s green spaces, parks, and gardens.

How to Enter:
Facebook: Post your photo on your timeline, tag @SustainableEnniscorthy
Instagram: Post your photo on your feed, tag @enniscorthysus and make sure your profile is public

How to Tag Us on Facebook:

After uploading your photo, click on "Edit" in the top right corner of the photo.
Select the “Tag People” option then click anywhere on the photo
In the search bar, type @Sustainable Enniscorthy and select our page from the list.
You should see our page tagged directly on the photo itself.
Make Sure the Post Is Public: Ensure your post’s privacy setting is set to “Public” so that we can see it. You can change the privacy settings by clicking on the dropdown icon next to “Friends” and selecting “Public.”
Post Your Photo: Once you've tagged Sustainable Enniscorthy and checked your settings, click "Post" to share your entry.
Double-Check Your Post: After posting, go back to your timeline and check to make sure our page is tagged directly in the photo and that it’s visible.

Prizes: Three winners will each receive a €20 voucher to Kilcannon Garden Centre & Restaurant in Enniscorthy.

Terms and Conditions

Entry into the competition implies acceptance of these rules

Entry to the competition is by tagging Sustainable Enniscorthy. On Facebook: Tag @SustainableEnniscorthy
On Instagram: Tag @enniscorthysus
You may apply by entering as many photos as you like.
The photos must be taken by you
Competition entries may be used on our website
Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural and moral traditions, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
Photos must not contain logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
Photographs entered must be taken within Enniscorthy town urban area.
To enter the competition, you must submit your entry on or before the close of business on the 1st of October 2024.
Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photo(s). Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
Winners will be selected by the Committee based on the quality of the image, that the image reflects truly and accurately the subject title and also the uniqueness of the photograph. Winners will be notified either by Facebook or Instagram message.
Winners will be publicly announced on the 14th of October 2024.
The Judge’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
Sustainable Enniscorthy reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it is of the view that you have not complied fully with the terms and conditions.

Sustainable Enniscorthy will not have any liability whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from your participation in the competition or the termination thereof whether by disqualification or otherwise and whether such termination or disqualification was lawful or not.
Sustainable Enniscorthy accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions for any printed documentation relating to the competition.

Right of Record

It is the responsibility of the entrants and winners to ensure that any necessary permission required to enter a photograph into the competition is obtained.
Entrants must ensure that any photographs containing people's faces have been taken with the permission of the person(s) in the photograph.
It is the responsibility of the entrants and winners to ensure that the photography supplied is original and their own work.
Sustainable Enniscorthy reserves the right to publish any photos entered into the competition and the names of any entrants/winners in connection with advertising or promoting the competition or the business of the promoter without prior permission from the entrants.

General

This document contains the entire of the terms, conditions and rules of the competition, save where otherwise expressly stated herein, and you agree to be bound by them and them alone. You acknowledge, confirm and agree that the terms conditions and rules shall prevail over any terms, conditions, representations or statements inconsistent herewith and appearing in any advertisement, sticker, letter, flyer or any other document.
Sustainable Enniscorthy hereby reserves the right to amend any of the terms, conditions or rules contained herein at any time without advance or another form of communication to the entrant.
